Alison YoungProfessor Alison Young has been appointed legal advisor to the House of Lords Constitution Committee. She will be one of two legal advisors to the Committee, alongside Professor Stephen Tierney at the University of Edinburgh. Alison is the second member of the Cambridge law faculty to be appointed to this role; Professor Mark Elliott was legal advisor to the Committee from 2015 to 2019.

The Constitution Committee provides advice on the constitutional implications of parliamentary Bills, as well as carrying out more general investigations of broad constitutional issues.
