The Cambridge Pro Bono Project warmly invites you to attend our Easter Term events for our Colloquium Series 2018, which will feature a number of speakers involved in the practice of public interest law.
This term's speakers practice across areas including international criminal law, international humanitarian law, international human rights law, environmental law, climate-conscious investment, and the regulation of big data.
Jörgen Gren, European Commission; and Bethany Shiner, Middlesex University The Cambridge Pro Bono Project is proud to be hosting a panel discussion on big data and the challenges and benefits it presents for democracy.
The panel will feature:
- Jörgen Gren: Jörgen is a Cabinet Expert for Commissioner Ansip’s team at the European Commission. Jörgen’s portfolio responsibilities include the digital single market and data economy.
- Bethany Shiner: Bethany is a lecturer at Middlesex University and previously practiced in judicial review with Public Interest Lawyers. Bethany has presented at numerous conferences on issues including the effect of big data on political campaigning, and human rights issues.
